The phone number and the address both exists and perhaps before investing with Kirox, you ought to give Channon a ring.
I suspect that he may well be an innocent party in this, but would you deal with a company supposedly in Sweden, who register their web site with an individual in the US. No! You wouldn't.
Important Notes :-
1. Whatever you do, do not respond to any e-mail like this. If you have given bank details to any fraudster like this, then inform your bank immediately and also make sure that you close the account.
2. If the e-mail mentions a well known e-mail address such as from gmail.com, live.com, yahoo.com etc., then why not forward the offending e-mail to abuse@gmail.com, abuse@live.com etc. Hopefully, they'll remove the e-mail address, which will stop people being sucked in.

I received the Kirox email today and my first thought was to check it out as it all seems to good to be true - the first thing I found was this page, so many thanks for the time and effort to put it up.
The phone number may be real, but the postcode isn't,there is no such postcode as FI-00837 Stockholm, Sweden. The only reference I can find to this postcode number is an address in New Mexico. Also, the address 15 mauvas str B 33 looks suspicious, the "str" is a German abbreviation for Strasse (street) but I have not seen this used in Sweden. A multimap style street map is available for Sweden for anyone who wants to check it out:

Have had a number of emails of this type since putting my cv into a well-respected online job-search database. Moral is therefore perhaps only to provide this kind of database with an email address which you don't mind cleaning the spam out of!
My Outlook Express 'properties' option for this email shows the sending IP is 217.70.103.169.snt.ru
It is a Russian scam, probably aimed at getting valid IP's for computers to attempt to build a denial of service attack to extort money from firms they make threats to.
e mail sent was too good to be true and googled the company.Intresting thing is I'm not even looking for a job! but I guess as a matter of fact you have to question any anonymous person making any promise on the email. Looks like the nigerian Bank fraud is out and this job scam is in !

You should have asked them what companies they've worked for. mostly drug dealers and people traffickers I suspect.
It is good to see that many people have taken time to check this out but we have a sport in our office (rightly or wrongly) called dodgy email baiting whereby like Stuart Cameron (see above) we reply to all emails and see how far we can string these cretins along. We are seriously thinking about setting up a website whereby we can show how far we get and even what can be done about it. Some of the responses have been pure genius especially when they say they are from the Bank of Edinburgh in Glasgow and they have a hotmail address, just genius indeed!!

In the past about 3 years ago I fell for one of these and gave them my Bank details, withing 2 says I had £6,000 put in my account and a phone call from them to say take 10% commission and all the expenses and send the balance in cash to a man in Germany via Western Union, I withdrew the cash and was about to transfer the money by western union when I had a phone call from my Bank saying that the money was illegally taken from someone elses account and put into mine and that I should go to the Bank right away otherwise the Police would be involved, I did this right away and was lucky to survive it. It all looks to easy and good to be true and I was mad to go ahead with it, hindsite is a good thing. Has anyone else followed it though?

As I am currently seeking employment I was sent this email from a friend who had received it in her inbox at work. I thought it sounded too good to be true, however I stupidly replied before checking it out. I sent the email from my personal email address, obviously not giving bank details etc but giving personal contact details. Am I safe???

Also, I get lots of this type of cr*p as I run a website with a "catchall" email address for contact. This one was addressed to advertising@... (mydomainname.c**). "Advertising" isn't one of the names I use on the site. I expect a bot sent this.
Someone here suggested a website about stringing these villains along. I've seen one, it was hilarious. They had the plonkers going into Western Union Offices asking to collect transfers to Ima Scammer, and other such dumb names.
Another funny one was about them saying they could supply certain goods. They were asked about obtaining a submarine, and strung along with stupid questions about fictitious features, totally made up stuff, like does it has quadrific bandanerspiddles? (I made that up, but you get my point), and the string-alongers were getting positive replies, all for the entertainment of viewers of the site.
I think it's a great idea. While they're wasting their time being strung, they have less time to target the more vulnerable net uses.

My partner just got same email today from manoksolutions. Interesting they say there in SWEDEN, the domain is registered in ISREAL and registered to some guy in CALIFORNIA. Not only is this a pure scam it is also MONEY LAUNDERING, and they just want a MULE to pass on dirty money. What ever you do DO NOT fall for it, your bank WILL spot it and YOU could find yourself on the wrong side of the law, and your account closed.
Excelent blog though, thought this email was a con, as work in the finance sector monitoring accounts for such activity.
Blogs like this help to get the message across, if only every one bothered to google first!
