Internet ID

This won't work unless everybody worldwide has one.

The system is also so complicated, no-one would bother to get one.

What will work is proper education and parents and children using the Internet as a shared experience.

Parents have to educate themselves and their very own children would mostly love to help them. So many children under ten have pc's in their bedrooms these days, that isn't a "shared" location and not a good step forward. With younger children you can check the history of what they are looking at ( older ones will know how to wipe it off...) but if the pc is in a shared location, central, such as the lounge or kitchen then it can be something to be enjoyed and not feared and parents are more likely to be involved this way too. When you see what your children are looking at or creating on the pc then you can't help but peer in to see what they are doing and share in their new found knowledge!
