2. If the e-mail mentions a well known e-mail address such as from gmail.com, live.com, yahoo.com etc., then why not forward the offending e-mail to abuse@gmail.com, abuse@live.com etc. Hopefully, they'll remove the e-mail address, which will stop people being sucked in.

you do not understand how heart breaking it is for some one like me to get this letter and then find out it is a fraud. this is the second this year. the first was on craigs list and i even received a check. we checked it out before hand also. i mean when you are in dire straits you are already grasping at straws so this sort of thing just lifts you up then you crash down =. for those who actually fall for this i feel very sorry for. thank you for this heads up.

Because there are people in this world who only want to hurt and steal from others, we need a system of being able to track those who send emails like these. Then we have to have the courage to exact a price of our own from these evil bastards. If we killed all the thieves, murderers, and rapists in the world, there would be less people, but the quality would rise significantly. Join with me in holding bastards accountable!

If this guy sends you a letter, you should ignore him and if he keeps sending you letters, block him. Also, it's suspicous. If he tells you that you are about to get some money based on someone's will, think about if you know this person he is addressing at all.
