Advanced Management Associates

Note that the domain name mentioned was registered on the 5th January. It doesn't work. They're obviously a really advanced company as they still use Western Union to pass money about. I have no problem with the banking system or PayPal when I want to get money from obscure places. But then I'm dealing with real and honest people.

Incidentally 33 St. James's Square is a set of very respectable set of serviced offices, so in this case the address is genuine, even if Advanced Management Associates isn't.

Fraud.

One out of five.

I got one of these today as well. I usually get about one a week through the good folks at careerbuilder.com. What can be done to stop these fraudulent businesses? Can we report them to the BBB or the Feds or something? I would love to see these scamsters get torn up by someone so they would stop trying to dupe people.

Got the lovely e-mail from Mr. Smith today, too. It seems that it is a very hard task to find that one person for that one particular vacancy. He raised now the monthly payment offer to 3,000 euros. He really desperately needs that hard-working employee :)

Well, it is sad that the perpetrator has not been stopped at all in about 2 months now. There is no use in reporting such fraud attempts as nothing ever happens to them. But if you wish, the e-mail is: spam@uce.gov

By the way, only those who are really blinded by their greed would fall to such obvious scams, so it might be a divine punishment for being too greedy...

Cleaning up "money", yes. But scam implies that one will somehow lose money with them.
So, what part of this is the scam? How do you get hosed, if you accept monies first, then pay them out after?

By participating in this scheme you're not risking any money, you're facing criminal penalty and could end up in jail. Money comes from online bank accounts whose passwords have been compromised. You get the money in your own bank account and then you transfer it thru Moneygram, Western Union and the like. The illegal money flow traceability ends up at you. Go figure!

It's amazing how fast this email spreads... people even send it to each other thinking it's a real job opportunity and that's a danger of it. But why don't they have a look that email account is at GMAIL.COM which no REAL company would use? I reckon Mr. Smith gets thousands of CVs anyway with all the personal details... Be careful to whom you send your CV!!!
